“Treasuring Tales in our Pocket” 주머니에 담고 싶은 이야기

‘포켓테일즈’는 서울시 중구 을지로에 위치한 갤러리입니다. 1970년 김수근 건축가가 설계한 한국 최초의 주상복합 건물인 세운 대림상가 9층에 2021년 여름 조용히 자리잡았습니다. 세월의 흔적이 이어져 오고 있는 이 건물 곳곳에 발견되는 옛 흔적들은 상상력을 자극합니다. 이러한 건물 속에 숨겨진 포켓테일즈는 ‘내 주머니에 담고 싶은 이야기들’을 소개하며 우리만의 챕터를 모아 마치 한 권의 동화책이 되고 싶습니다. 작품이 들려주는 이야기를 주목하고, 그 순간 이야기를 담은 공간을 통해 여러분 추억의 한 장면이 되고자 합니다.

‘pokettales’ is a gallery located in Euljiro, Jung-gu, Seoul. Nestled quietly on the 9th floor of the Sewoon Daerim Arcade, Korea’s first mixed-use residential and commercial building designed by architect Kim Swoo-geun in 1970, the gallery found its home in the summer of 2021. The traces of time scattered throughout this historic building evoke imagination and nostalgia. Hidden within this space, pokettales seeks to introduce “stories we want to carry in our pockets”—curating our own chapters to create a storybook-like experience. By focusing on the narratives embedded in each artwork and the space that holds them, we hope to become a cherished scene in your own memories.
